Please pray

I have some GREAT friends that need your prayers.  You see, there are a number of families who are SO CLOSE to bringing their kids home but are stuck with some unknown holdups.  They are anxiously awaiting the phone call that they can go get their kid(s).  Their bags are packed, and they are all ready to jump on a plane.  Please join me in praying for them.  Our road to Odette was smooth and fast, and while I’m EVER grateful, I am heartbroken for others with a difficult journey.

Three of the kiddos were brought into the orphanage the same time as Odette.  They learned a new language together, adjusted to their temporary home, became friends, and grew very close in their time there.  Only God knows why Odette is home and they are not.

(Can you believe that is Odette in the orange shirt?  This picture is back from October or November I believe.)

There is also a sweet Indiana family in the same boat.  We had the chance to meet them at one of our adoption classes.  They had an Embassy date before us, but have not been given travel clearance.  I can’t imagine being so close to having your arms around your precious child, but facing unknown delays.

Please pray my friends.  There are many, many more families in similar situations, I’m sure.  These are just the ones I’m blessed to know.

  1. Thank you so much Sarah! We really appreciate that everyone is hanging in there with us! (My poor grandmother has been in constant prayer vigil for about three weeks!) I am so happy that Odette is home with you, and I look forward to the day when all her friends, plus our daughter (her future friend!) are with their forever families! We are glad to know a person with a heart as big as yours and we will keep you posted for sure. Much love!
