Tonight’s prayer

Bedtime prayers are something that we’ve said with Odette since we arrived home and established a nightly routine.  Jeff and I take turns each night leading the prayers.  We started really simple with things she might be able to grasp.  We mix up our prayers depending on what happened that day and what is on our hearts.  Tonight when I said Daddy’s turn, Odette interjected with a strong Odettey’s turn.

Thank you Jesus for my family.
Thank you Jesus for my Jesus.
Thank you Jesus for my Congo.
Thank you Jesus for my Daddy.
Thank you Jesus for my Mommy.
Thank you Jesus for my Briscoe.
Thank you Jesus for my bear.
Thank you Jesus for my light.
Thank you Jesus for my fan.
Thank you Jesus for my bear little.
Thank you, Jesus.
I love you, Jesus.
Amen

What sweet words from the most sweet little girl.

(On Tuesday I led the prayer and included, Thank you Jesus for my doctors.  Odette hesitated awhile before repeating that one and you’ll notice she didn’t include it tonight even though she went back to the clinic today for the rest of her lab work.)
