A Month of Thanks

So here it is…November. Crazy to think about really. As I changed the calendar over at school, I stood frozen for a minute wondering how it could possibly be nearing the end of the great year that 2012 turned out to be. Alas, whether I’m ready or not, November is here. With the arrival of November, my thoughts quickly turn to Thanksgiving and a whole new holiday to try to explain to Odette. As I marvel in all that she will be experiencing in the next few months I am overwhelmed with gratitude and joy. I decided that this little old blog is the perfect place for me to share all that I am thankful for. I putting myself up to the challenge of sharing one thing each day that I am thankful for. Some might be sincere. Others may be silly. No matter what, I will be full of thanks. Maybe you could join me and share what you are thankful for in the comments.

Day 1: I am thankful for this conversation over dinner.

Odette: Daddy, today momma pick Odette up. Spin, spin, spin. Mom say thank you Jesus for Odette. Why mommy say dat, daddy?

Jeff: Because mommy loves Odette very much.

Odette: Odettey love mommy very much, too.
